This overcast morning I stopped in for a jumbo coffee before continuing on to work. A few treasured moments of relaxation is ok by me, but I'm thinking that soon I will be riding to school.

I kept walking past on my way to the grocery store and I finally took a shot of these doors near the toy factory lofts. The original graffiti photo is buried under enhancements from a trial version of corel painter IX. The selection tool hosts a lasso which is good for working on masked areas. Also there is a texturizing feature as well as many other cool tools.

After reading them a story about and discussing; "what is art?" the children got busy painting and writing their ideas. I thought this picture would speak for itself. One little fauve wrote in his journal that art is everything! Well I have to agree! It just depends on how you look at things. Thanks for the book Lorrie!

Heroes and Villains

Sin City is an excellent visual film. The film is black and white, with a few reds, oranges and sepia tones tossed in. It's a digitally enhanced cinema, created to emulate Frank Miller's graphic comic book illustration. Highly violent, but faithfully follows a vignette style storyline complete with trashy dialogues and stereotypical characters true to the comic book style. Bizzare heroes, sexually styled dames and grotesque villains abound in this dark, wet undersided noir atmosphere. I watched it last night and give it thumbs up! Enjoy!
