Packing up the studio

Back in June i received notice that the building where I have my painting studio was sold and I had until November 30th to get out. I have been there for 10 years and have so much stuff accumulated and well over 100 paintings. The idea of moving and packing up was so overwhelming that I could do was walk around the space and sigh, I took photos of paint marks on the floor,ha,ha! It was all i could do to get a focus to complete the last 2 goose paintings. With all said and done it looked like a ray of light as the managers found a new building to develop into art studios, but then, just now the project fell apart because the operating budget was way too expensive. In fact there is little affordable space in the city at all.
Even storage is ridiculous. So here I am packing up my stuff and moving things to the garbage. I still need to take all my paintings off the stretchers and roll them up for storage. I guess this is part of the process for artists who aren't famous so I just have to do it. Anyway that is what I'm doing and it's a downer for me, but I guess it will work out in the long run.
