Musicophilia

Videos reveal a new neurological theory of musical improvisation and creativity. Featuring Oliver Sacks. Also it seems better if you are not thinking while you practise. "A composer with synesthesia sees specific colors when he hears music in different musical keys: G minor, for instance, is not just “yellow” but “ocher”; D minor is “like flint, graphite”; and F minor is “earthy, ashy".
Probably being in the zone is good for painters as well.

I wonder if making associations between colours and musical tones would help someone learning to identify musical notes.

Probably, I've seen children's books like that. I was thinking that practicing my guitar is good for my art.
