The children traced around their figures with pencils onto kraft paper then coloured them in with pastels. They had to figure out what special clothes and tools were used by their chosen community helper characters. From left to right; letter carrier, firefighter, dancer, police officer, basketball player, musician, dentist, veterinarian, hockey player and yoga instructor. One technical note: getting the proper light and aperture setting for indoor school photos(depending on the camera) varies. I collaged these three pictures together to create the view of their artwork in the hallway.
