Back To School Activities

I spent most of today washing and moving furniture around my classroom. I set the space up for five groupings of desks, one art centre, one listening centre and a writing centre. I'm still rethinking a math and science area. Also I set up the classroom computer and started decorating the bulletin boards; incorporating classroom themes such as word family lists. I found some very good activities and resources for a "back to school" theme at The Teacher's Corner. I particularly like this measurement activity titled Growth.
